COURSE DESCRIPTION

Football/Soccer continues to grow at a rapid pace, and the increased globalization of the sport equals opportunity. As demand for skillful professional players increases, so does the need for talented and educated intermediaries (agents) who can manage, market, and promote these athletes throughout the world. Through this six (6) week course you will learn the ins-and-outs of the football/soccer industry, becoming an expert in FIFA regulations, player registrations, training compensations, transfer markets, and more. You’ll also acquire the skills to scout and recruit quality talent, learning how to manage, promote, and negotiate lucrative deals for your clients.

INSTRUCTOR

Daniel Woolard

Woolard, affectionally known as “Wooley”, is a retired Major League Soccer defender who played for D.C. United and Chicago Fire, appearing in over 100 professional MLS matches. Upon retiring from professional soccer, Wooley worked as a FIFA Intermediary, scouting, recruiting and managing top football soccer players around the world. As an instructor of Pro Agent Academy, Woolard’s qualified playing experience paired with his knowledge as an agent, brings an invaluable insight into player representation, expectations and experiences in the player representation industry. Along with his experience, Woolard has a vast soccer network to assist our students in all their endeavors. Wooley is currently obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from Stamford University, graduating as a sports lawyer in spring of 2019.

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive an official Letter of Achievement, as verification of your FIFA Intermediary Certification and completion of the curriculum. This letter will serve to enhance your resume and give you an edge if you’re looking to be hired by a sports firm or can be used to validate your knowledge of the industry to prospective clients.
